System Thinking

System thinking is the process of understanding how things influence one another within a complete entity. As a society, system consists of people, structures, and processes that work together to achieve a "healthy" and balanced living. But the question is: Are we applying this type of thinking? That's the whole deal. Being holistic can help our society grow and develop because the behavior of the whole depends upon the features and behavior of the constituent. In other words, if we look at a single component there is a possibility that we can overlook the other parts and ignore it.

To be honest with the facts, as one society we are not practicing integrated actions because of selfish intents. We may sometimes act comprehensively but it don't involve much of the population. Sometimes we only act in small different groups focusing in different fields. Like for example; business corporations enhance agricultural land not for the sake of supplying the needs of the workers or the people but for the sake of money. Cash crops like sugar canes are planted rather than rice crops. This is why we do not prosper with our national economy and standards because we tend to act selfishly in line with our own demands. This is why we can not solve our societal problems because we treat the symptoms rather than the whole illness. With this, I can imagine when
our car stopped at the middle of the road. I don't know what happened but i'm certain it was the machine. We did the check-up with the machine and tried to get back to the road. It still wont function properly. As I looked under the car, I saw my two tires flat to the ground. In assessing problems we need to look the bigger picture and solve every bit as a single part can affect the other.

If we would stop being one-sided in looking things, we could have been the richest country in the world. Yes, it is not possible if we just planted rice to sustain our needs first and then do something greater after. It is not difficult as well if we only determined the problem and took actions directly to its greater cause. Lastly, I couldn't have been late for work if I immediately checked the whole car and fill up  the tire with air.
