What I'm expecting for the upcoming Sinulog Festival and International Eucharistic Congress?
Sinulog Festival is an annual cultural tradition celebrated by Cebuanos every third Sunday of January. It is celebrated to revere and honor Señor Santo Niño or the Child Jesus. It is usually lionized by doing Solemn Procession and Various tribal street dances. The streets during this event is swarmed with random tourists and citizens gathered to witness the lively dances. So basically, Im expecting these the same scenarios this year. But we can't always get what we expect- right?
If I guessed it right this year's sinulog event will have more people - as in so much people you can imagine !- in one place, more traffic, and more "Wild & Drunk" dudes at the streets. Sans all that , there is one thing that I'll expect that I can't surely get. Guess what? It's the FUN!! Why? because every year brings more excitement and fun. The hype and the happy aura will definitely get in to my nerves. One thing that I expect more for the festival are - the MEMORIES. The memories of being able to join this imposing and yet solemn event for El Señor Santo Niño with my family and friends, With these memories, I'll bet that for the following years, I can always expect for more.
